Instructions for teachers:
We all love parties, don't we? Birthdays, holidays, anything that gives us a reason to celebrate with friends and family! Close your eyes for a moment and take a few deep breaths. Breathe in slowly through your nose, filling your lungs with air.
Hold it for a second, then breathe out slowly through your mouth. Feel the tension melt away with each breath.
Now, imagine yourself walking into a fantastic party! Take a look around. What kind of decorations do you see? Are there colorful balloons of all shapes and sizes bobbing in the air? Do long, shiny streamers in your favorite colors hang from the ceiling?
Listen closely. What sounds fill the air? Is there happy music playing, making you want to tap your feet?
Can you hear the joyful chatter of people talking and laughing? Maybe you even hear the excited squeals of children playing games.
Now, take a big sniff! What delicious smells tickle your nose? Can you smell the warm, inviting aroma of pizza fresh from the oven, topped with all your favorites?
Maybe there's the sweet, tempting scent of birthday cake baking in the kitchen, with creamy frosting and maybe even sparkling candles waiting to be lit!
Look around again.
Who else is at the party? Are you surrounded by your best friends, all dressed up in their party clothes, ready to have fun? Is the birthday boy or girl there, beaming with happiness, excited to celebrate another year?
Do you see family members you haven't seen in a while, all smiles and ready for a good time?
